Testing and Field Trip

Today we were tested for placement in a class. There were 3 sections to the test: general questions, grammar and listening. You needed to get better than 14 out of 20 to move on to the next test. I didn’t pass the first test! So, I am not in the complete beginner’s class, but I find out tomorrow which of the advanced beginner classes I get into. Most likely the red class, which is the first level up from beginner.

In the afternoon, we went on a field trip to the castle and surrounding area which was the site for the Czech novel, The Grandmother. Then we walked for 2 to 3 miles to a wonderful dinner of barbecued chicken and beer. Yes, I have broken down and had one each day.
